Ometepe Island: the biggest island in a fresh water lake, anchored in the lake Cocibolca also known as lake Nicaragua.
The island is 276 squared kms and has a population of 42.000 people.
The Island is formed by two imposing volcanoes: Concepcion 1,610 Mt. High and Volcano Maderas which reaches a high of 1394 Mt.
